The Government adopted the “Report on Financing of Projects and Programs of Civil Society Organisations from Public Sources in 2013”

At its meeting held on July 17, 2014, the Croatian Government adopted the “Report on Financing of Projects and Programs of Civil Society Organisations from Public Sources in 2013”.

The report contains analyses of allocated funds according to state institutions-funds providers, areas of financing, users of funds and territorial distribution of funded programs and projects, as well as an analysis of tendering procedures and monitoring and evaluation of funded projects and programs. The Report also contains a description of the best projects in the past year, chosen by the financial support providers themselves and there is a detailed list of all 5725 projects financed from the state level, as well as a review of the funding at the level of local and regional self-government.

Based on the collected data, it has been established that in 2013, from public sources at the national level, programs and projects of civil society organisations were awarded a total of HRK 560,245,690.14 through tenders, open calls and other programs carried out by 31 state body-financial support providers. The funds awarded to CSOs from the budget of local and regional self-government (counties, cities and municipalities) amounted to almost twice as much – over one billion kunas. Projects financed at the national level are regularly monitored through program and financial reports, as well as through on-the-spot visits. Through those activities, 264 cases of fund recovery back in the state budget in the amount of nearly 1.5 million kunas have been confirmed.
